Tom Platt got involved in the Westport Center for the Arts through his Heart of Westport neighborhood association and his work with the Kansas City Public Library, where Kids Team Up for Art sessions have been held.
His interests are landscape painting, including the works of Monet, Van Gogh, even some Thomas Hart Benton. He also pursues Kansas City history and family genealogy.
He’s a member of the Westport Historical Society, the Native Sons and Daughters of Greater Kansas City, the treasurer of the Friends of the Kansas City Public Library, and a few neighborhood organizations.
He hopes to help promote and support the Westport Center for the Arts for years to come.
