Children in kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to tap their creative energies and create masterpieces at WCA’s “Kids Team Up for Art” Workshops at the Kansas City Public Libraries.

Participants will focus on both individual skill building and the completion of a group project by the end of the session.

Participation is FREE! No training required – just lots of commitment and energy! But you will need to wear clothing that will survive paint and glue. Team size is flexible! There is always plenty to do! Workshops use found and recycled materials, in addition to traditional materials like paint, clay and paper. Materials provided by Accessible Arts and Artist & Craftsman Supply.

We are always seeking donations for materials that can be used at our workshops. Needed items include: egg cartons, plastic containers, cardboard tubes, scrapbook paper, construction paper, string, fabric scraps, paint, and glue.

Children in kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to tap their imaginative energies and create community masterpieces at WCA’s “Kids Team Up for Art” Workshops at selected Kansas City Public Library branches.

Each library session will differ from the others, so children can attend all and enjoy something new at each workshop.
