Third Friday of the Month during Youth Night!

Free art workshop for children in kindergarten through eighth grade, lead by experienced art educators at KCPL branch libraries.

WCA Art Teams will focus on the completion of a group project by the end of the session as individuals build art and collaborative life skills.

Each library session will differ from the others, so children can attend all and enjoy something new at each. In the past participants have tackled watercolors, constructed unlikely towering sculptures two different ways, designed the perfect basketball shoe and pieced together spring flower mosaics.

Participants are encouraged to wear clothing suitable for working with paint, glue and other hands-on materials.

Workshops use found and recycled materials, in addition to traditional materials like paint, clay and paper.

Parent or guardians with children 8 years old or younger must attend the session.
